Professor Doutor Diogo Sousa Martins

Meet our team

Holds a degree in Marketing Management and over 30 years of experience in management roles within the healthcare sector. After holding various management positions in multinational pharmaceutical companies such as MSD, Roche, Schering-Plough, and Nycomed (Takeda), he was also, in recent years, Commercial and Marketing Director at Tecnifar. He was President of Markinfar (Portuguese Association of Marketing and Sales Professionals in the Pharmaceutical Industry). He is certified by APPM as a Senior Marketing Professional and certified in Coaching by the ICC. He teaches in several Executive Master’s programs (European University and CESIF) and Postgraduate courses (Catholic University). Currently, he is a member of the Advisory Board of ELS Solutions and an Executive Coach at Lead & Coach. As a volunteer, he is part of the Executive Committee of the Portuguese Cardiology Foundation.

Holding a degree in Business Organization and Management from ISCTE, he has collaborated with several Portuguese universities in Master’s degree programs in the areas of information systems and organizational behavior. He was Equity Partner and Senior Advisor at Eurogroup Consulting between 2011 and 2022, after which he has dedicated himself to management consulting on a freelance basis. Between 1997 and 2009, he was also Equity Partner at Deloitte (Consulting Division), during which time he also served as a European Member of the Global Steering Committee for Quality & Risk Management. Previously, between 1989 and 1997, he held the positions of Senior Manager at Price Waterhouse (Consulting Division), and Senior Consultant at the same company between 1982 and 1987. He also served as Planning Director at SOVIAL, AVIS Rent-a-car, between 1987 and 1989. He was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SPEA between 2010 and 2016. He is the author of numerous publications on various management topics and a occasional contributor to print media.

He began his academic training at the Higher Institute of Agronomy, complementing it with two postgraduate degrees in business management. In 1993, he completed the Business Management Program at AESE (Association for Higher Business Studies) and, in 2005, he finished the Advanced Business Management Program at the Catholic University. With a 39-year career in the pharmaceutical industry, he consolidated 35 years of experience in management roles in sales and marketing. Most of his professional trajectory was built at MSD, where he held various management positions, both nationally and internationally. In addition, he served as Commercial Director and General Manager in pharmaceutical and medical product distribution companies, accumulating extensive strategic and operational experience in the sector. Between 2002 and 2006, he was President of Markinfar, the Portuguese Association of Marketing and Sales Professionals in the Pharmaceutical Industry, actively contributing to the development and professionalization of the area in the country. Currently at ELS Group, she is dedicated to managing commercial activities and lead generation in Portugal, applying her extensive experience to generate results and drive business.

A Food Engineer, graduated from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with over 35 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs. Nationally recognized for her technical and strategic expertise, she has built a solid career focused on interacting with government agencies and conducting complex negotiations related to the development of functional foods, beverages, and innovative ingredients. Since 1997, she has been a member of the Working Group on Foods for Special Purposes of the Ministry of Health, contributing to the formulation and improvement of technical standards that guide the sector. In 1998, she also began working on the Codex Alimentarius Food Committee, representing Brazil in international discussions that define quality and food safety standards, reinforcing its role as a reference in regulatory harmonization. In addition to her institutional work, she is a guest lecturer at ANVISA and the University of Brasília (UnB), where she shares her experience on topics such as public policy, innovation, and food safety. Her career combines technical leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to the regulatory and scientific development of the food and nutrition sector in Brazil.

Pharmacist with a background in Pharmaceutical Sciences, began his experience in the area of ​​RA & QA at Solvayfarma in 2007. He has experience in consulting for the Pharmaceutical Industry in the areas of Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Production and Materials Management. With solid knowledge in the areas of Medical Cannabis (Licensing, Technical Management, Quality Assurance and project development) and Medical Devices (Licensing, Medical Device Regulation, ISO 13485).

A graduate in Pharmacy from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, he has experience in pharmaceutical care and dispensing, as well as in providing high-quality pharmaceutical services. He contributed to innovation by developing a bromelain ointment for the treatment of diabetic ulcers, demonstrating creative and technical skills. In the commercial field, he has accumulated 3 years of experience, being responsible for effectively conducting strategic meetings, ensuring proactive and personalized client follow-up. Currently, he holds the position of Backoffice team leader, where he manages the strategic prospecting and international client follow-up.

Graduated in Pharmacy from Mackenzie Presbyterian University. Completed undergraduate research with a FAPESP scholarship at UNIFESP. Developed innovation projects in the pharmaceutical and food sectors, and has experience in pharmaceutical services and managing a pharmaceutical sales team.

Certified accountant Ovidio Micuci brings over 40 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial management in small and medium-sized enterprises. At ELS Solutions, Micuci is responsible for the Finance Department in Brazil.

Lawyer graduated from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, Pharmacist and Biochemist from the University of São Paulo (USP). He has over 6 years of experience in the field, with a focus on consulting for national and international industries in product and company regulatory processes. As a member of the first Pharmaceutical Sanitary Law Center in Brazil, he actively participated in legal and regulatory strategies. He developed an article with the Bioethics and Biosafety research group at Mackenzie Presbyterian University, linked to CNPq, reflecting on the legal and regulatory nuances of Brazilian legislation.

Holding a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Lisbon, she has three years of experience in the field, standing out for her dynamic and proactive performance in the commercial sector and in client relations. Throughout her professional career, she has demonstrated the development and implementation of innovative commercial strategies, resulting in a significant impact on business results.

He holds a Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a Postgraduate degree in Corporate Finance from the same university. He was a Senior Legal Advisor at a technology company and a lawyer at Schiappa Cabral & Associados and Lisbonlaw. He currently practices law and is Global Legal Counsel at ELS.

Accountant specializing in business management and behavioral economics. With 18 years of experience in business consulting, she brings to her accounting practice her expertise gained in market consulting for major Food Service companies in the country. At ELS, she works as an accountant, performing analyses and budgetary, financial, and tax planning.

Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She began her career in the pharmaceutical industry as a sample flow analyst in the quality control of generic solid medicines, and progressively advanced to the position of technical affairs scientist for injectable medicines. In addition, she had the opportunity to take on the challenge of coordinating clinical trials in the field of oncology, where she ensured the compliance of several clinical trial projects with the aim of driving innovation in cancer treatment. Currently, she works as a Regulatory and R&D Associate at ELS Group.

A graduate in Pharmacy from the University of São Paulo (USP), he possesses diverse experience in the public and private sectors, encompassing areas such as patents, commercial operations, and project management. Throughout his career, he has developed solid expertise in strategic analysis and the implementation of solutions focused on innovation and efficiency. Currently at ELS Group, he works as a Project Management Officer (PMO) and Regulatory Associate, playing a central role in the management and control of strategic projects, including planning, monitoring, and execution, ensuring deadlines are met. His work focuses on the development and execution of customized solutions that maximize operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and guarantee success in critical processes. He has high expertise in developing customized solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, directly contributing to the success of critical processes and strengthening operations. Combining strategic vision and technical skills, he contributes to process optimization and strengthens the alignment between organizational objectives and regulatory demands.

Holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Celso Suckow da Fonseca Federal Center for Technological Education (CEFET/RJ), specializing in Quality and Productivity Management. She has a solid career spanning over 20 years in administrative roles, production planning and control, and project management, accumulating technical and strategic knowledge across various industrial sectors. She developed her professional trajectory in large companies such as Petrobras and Michelin, where she held significant positions, contributing to process optimization, continuous improvement, and delivering results aligned with organizational goals. Currently, she works as a Backoffice & Financial Associate at the ELS group, responsible for ensuring the operational and financial efficiency of internal activities, including supporting administrative operations, managing cash flow, preparing reports and analyzing data to inform strategic decisions, as well as collaborating in the development and implementation of improvements in internal processes, ensuring the integration of administrative and financial areas with corporate objectives.

Holding a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Lisbon, she stands out for her dedication, rigor, and adaptability in different professional contexts. With experience in community pharmacy, student associations, and communication, graphic design, and commercial projects, she demonstrates a versatile and dynamic profile, combining scientific knowledge with pharmaceutical management and marketing skills. Her career reflects proactivity, responsibility, and a strong motivation for personal and professional growth in the pharmaceutical sector. Currently, she works as a sales and marketing professional for the ELS group.

Graduated in Pharmacy from the University of São Paulo (USP), where he also holds a solid prior degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of USP. He has experience in a hospital setting, having worked at the USP University Hospital with medication reconciliation, direct patient contact, and multidisciplinary integration. He is developing a scientific initiation project in the analysis of SUS (Brazilian Unified Health System) data, applying Python for the treatment and interpretation of large databases, focusing on the profile of patients with multiple myeloma in Brazil. He participates in extracurricular activities in the area of ​​health and technological innovation, including academic leagues and MedTech projects. He also holds certifications in Good Clinical Practices, Clinical Research, and technical courses in the pharmaceutical field. He is fluent in English and has prior experience in voluntary monitoring activities, currently working in prospecting, client relations, and execution of regulatory processes.

Food Engineer from UNESP, with a specialization in Business Administration from FGV and an international course in Food Safety from Michigan State University (MSU).
With over 25 years of experience in the food industry, she works in national and multinational companies in the nutrition and health segments, with extensive experience in Regulatory Affairs, product development, and technical management.
Currently, she is the Director of Regulatory Affairs at FoodStaff, a company that is part of the ELS group, leading projects in the areas of Nutrition and Health and providing regulatory consulting to various companies in the sector.
Recognized for her strategic vision and integration between technical, commercial, and institutional areas, she is dedicated to ensuring compliance and innovation in the food market, contributing to the strengthening and safety of the sector.

Nutritionist and Master in Public Health from the University of São Paulo (USP). He is the author of the study “Consumption of processed foods and associated factors in adults and elderly residents of the municipality of São Paulo,” defended to obtain his Master’s degree in 2008, and has also contributed to the development of other scientific works published in specialized journals. He has extensive experience in validating safety studies, including in vitro tests, animal experiments, and clinical trials. Since 2008, he has developed and prepared Technical-Scientific Reports related to proving the safety and efficacy of new ingredients and new foods, bioactive substances, enzymes, probiotic strains, food additives, and processing aids.

Postgraduate chemist with a specialization in Organic Chemistry from UNICAMP, and an MBA in Food Safety. Professional experience in multinational industries, including food and beverage, cosmetics, cleaning products, and pharmaceutical ingredients, in the areas of Corporate Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Product Development, consulting, and quality control. Strong experience in the registration of recycled packaging and the evaluation of packaging materials such as resins and polymers for food contact, assisting in product development in innovation projects with respect to sanitary aspects. Since 2003, active participation in the ANVISA technical group on food additives and food labeling of the Codex Alimentarius, the Codex Brazil Food Commission, and in Mercosur discussions in the Food Commission as a representative of the sector before the Ministry of Agriculture, ANVISA, and INMETRO.

A Food Engineer graduated from the Mauá School of Engineering, with a supplementary degree in Gastronomy from the Methodist University of São Paulo. She has over ten years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, working in national and multinational companies in the food, beverage, and nutrition sectors. She possesses solid knowledge of national and international legislation, including the Codex Alimentarius, and extensive experience in processes with ANVISA, MAPA, and INMETRO. She has worked in leading organizations conducting product registration and regulatory compliance projects, regulatory adjustments, and liaising with health authorities. She stands out for her participation in technical discussions on food labeling and microbiology and for leading initiatives aimed at expanding portfolios and exports in Latin America. Currently, she leads technical and strategic projects, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and support for innovation in the Nutrition and Health market.
