Anvisa allows use of packaging and label reserves
Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) has issued Collegiate Board Resolution (RDC) 819/2023, which specifically amends RDC 429/2020. This new resolution allows companies to use their reserves of previously purchased packaging and labels, extending the authorization to use these materials.
Anvisa made this decision motivated by the impacts of the pandemic on the food sector, which include challenges in the logistics supply chain and fluctuations in Brazilians’ purchasing power, affecting the consumption of products.
